Built on a Solid Datum

The name is the brief.

The Name

What's an engineering datum?

In mechanical and civil engineering, a datum is the fixed reference point that every measurement is taken from. Without it, nothing aligns — components don't fit, buildings don't square, tolerances drift. With it, complex systems hold together because every part shares the same origin.

That's what AEDatum is for technology. When clients engage us, they get a reference point: a stable, precise foundation against which decisions can be measured. Whether we're advising on architecture, building a product, or shipping a game, the work shares the same origin — engineering discipline, honest communication, and reliable delivery.

The "AE" stands for Anu Elizabeth — the engineer whose track record across consultancy, enterprise systems, and product delivery is the datum the firm is calibrated against.

What We Stand On

Three values. Non-negotiable.

Precision

Words are measured, scopes are written down, code is reviewed against criteria. Vagueness costs time and trust — we treat both as scarce.

Honesty

If a project isn't a fit, we say so. If a deadline is unrealistic, we say so. The reference point doesn't move to make a sale.

Reliability

What we commit to, we deliver — on time, in scope, in production. The work outlives the engagement.
